Security TV Wall app icon: a wall of camera tiles
What it does

A wall for the cameras you already own

๐Ÿ“บ

Fills the whole TV

Every camera on one wall, sized to cover the screen with no wasted space. Pick a layout or let it choose, and use wall mode for a clean, always-on display.

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Set up from your phone

Add cameras on your iPhone or iPad and they appear on your Apple TV through your own iCloud. No typing addresses with a remote.

๐Ÿ—„๏ธ

A whole recorder in one step

Point it at a Hikvision recorder and it finds every channel and its name. Other cameras work with any RTSP address, with templates for common brands.

โช

Replay and a recap

Step back 30 seconds on any camera. With a Hikvision recorder, see what happened while you were away: people and vehicles, by camera.

๐Ÿ”’

Stays on your network

The video goes straight from your cameras to your screen. Nothing is sent to us, and there are no accounts.

โœˆ๏ธ

Works offline

The apps don't need the internet to show your cameras. Only syncing and buying need a connection, and they say so.

On Apple TV

Made for the living room screen

Built for the remote

Select opens a camera full screen. Left and right turn the pages of the wall, up and down move between cameras, and Play/Pause switches wall mode on and off.

Wall mode

Hides the bar and the margins and runs edge to edge with a small clock, for a TV that stays on in the hall or the office.

Big-screen first

Tiles take their size from the TV, so the picture is as large as the screen allows. It isn't a phone app stretched onto a television.

Replay on the remote

In full screen, press left to step back 30 seconds on any camera, right to step forward, and Play/Pause to return to live.

Layouts

Pick a grid, or let it choose

Choose how many cameras share a page. More cameras than fit go on further pages, and Automatic picks the smallest grid that shows them all.

What makes it different

More than a stream viewer

Set up on your phone

Add cameras on your iPhone or iPad and they appear on the Apple TV through your own iCloud. Passwords sync through iCloud Keychain, or you type one once.

A whole recorder in one step

Point it at a Hikvision recorder and it lists every channel by name. Pick the ones you want and they are all added together.

See what happened while you were away

With a Hikvision recorder, the recap lists the events by camera and marks people and vehicles, and a tap plays the moment back.

Replay on every camera

The app keeps the last minutes of each camera it is showing, so you can step back 30 seconds even on cameras whose recorder has no playback.

Fills the screen, no gaps

Tiles cover the whole screen with no empty cells, whatever the number of cameras. Choose to trim the edges for a full tile or keep the whole picture.

Starts light, switches up

Each tile plays the camera's small stream, and full screen switches to the main stream. If a camera has no small stream, it uses the main one.

Careful with your recorder

A wrong password stops after one try instead of retrying, so a Hikvision recorder isn't locked out.

Works offline, no account

No sign-up. Your cameras show without the internet, and only syncing and buying need a connection.

One purchase, every screen

Pro covers Apple TV, iPhone and iPad with the same Apple ID, and Family Sharing is on.

Questions

Good to know

Which cameras does it work with?

Any camera or recorder that offers an RTSP video stream, including Hikvision, Dahua, Reolink and Tapo. Adding a Hikvision recorder finds every channel for you. Cameras that only work through their own cloud app, such as most Ring and Eufy models, don't offer RTSP and can't be added.

Is my video sent anywhere?

No. The app connects directly to your cameras and recorders on your home network. The video never passes through Spaikz. See the privacy policy for the small amount of anonymous usage information the app can send.

What is free and what is Pro?

The free plan shows your first 2 cameras. Pro puts every camera on the wall. Pro costs $9.99 a year or $1.99 a month, works on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad with one purchase, and includes Family Sharing.

Do I need an account?

No. Cameras sync between your devices through your own iCloud, and a purchase follows your Apple ID.

Can I watch cameras away from home?

Not yet. The app shows cameras on the same network as your Apple TV.
